INGREDIENTS
Steaks
- 4 oz of Luzbel’s Lament salsa
- Boneless rib-eye, New York steaks, filets mignons or flank steak
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steak accompaniments (optional)
- Potatoes
- Sweet potatoes
- Onions
DIRECTIONS
Marinate the steaks
- Cut nicks into the steak penetrating about halfway through the thickness of the meat so the marinade permeates
- Place the meat into a container and add Luzbel’s Lament salsa
- Refrigerate the meat and marinade for 1 hour
Grill the steaks
- About 20 minutes before grilling, remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let sit, covered, at room temperature
- Heat your grill to high
- Place the steaks on the grill and cook until golden brown and slightly charred, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and continue to grill for 3 to 5 minutes (medium-rare), 5 to 7 minutes (medium), or 8 to 10 minutes (medium-well)
- Transfer the steaks to a cutting board, and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing
- Brush the veggies on both sides with oil and season with salt and pepper and grill them together with the steaks
